WH1000XM6 v WH1000XM5
A reqular question we expect our customers to ask is what is the diffrence between the 1000XM6 and 1000XM5 and is it worth the difference?  In our opinion Sony have certainly been listening to customer feedback and the WH1000XM6 comes with a good numbers of improvements and enhancements that we feel will certainly benefit those regular headphone users and commuters that want that bit more performance, comfort and quiet.
Wider headband - reducing the pressure on the top of the head and improving comfort especially during longer use.
Foldable Design & more compact case - now easier to store out of the way in a bag, case or drawer.
10 Band Sound EQ - allowing improved adjustment and tayloring of the the sound for your listening style.  The XM5 had a 5 band Sound Equalizer.
Improved Noise Cancelling -  A new more powerful processor and an upgrade to 12 microphones from the previous 8 allows the XM6 to improve the Noise Cancelling Effect by 17%.
Listen While Charging - Battery running low? You can now plug to charge and continue listening with no need to pause your listening.
Improved Voice Call Quality - Now using 6 microphones to the old 4, you can make voice calls with improved noice reduction to your noisy surroundings and be heard clearer by those you are talking to.
Mic Mute On/Off- Need to put a call then its just a simple press on the headphones.
Liquid Detection in USB-C Connector.  We all get caught in the rain sometimes or suffer that unexpected spill so there is a chance the USB connector will get wet from time to time.  The liquid detection reduces the chances of damage to your headphones and warns you so you can quick dry it out.
Background Music Mode -  Your busy concentrating so dont want the music to present that its a distraction.  Background music mode sounds as if the music is in the distance as if being played in the back ground of a cafe or store.
The XM6 weigh in at 254g versus the 250g of the XM5, which we put down ot the extra size of the headband but we certainly feel the XM6's are lighter feeling to wear.
The WH1000XM6 will continue to match the WH1000XM5 with these great features
Upto 30 hours battery life with Noise Cancelling on
Upto 40 hours battery life with Noise Cancelling off
3 Minutes charge time will give upto 1hour playback
